Okey, today, this beautifull day, a cold latesummer night on the 19th of September 2000, I've
pushed the big red button to the BBS-Computer. VOD BBS is dead. Both you as the users, and
I have notices a minor interest for the BBS, its not cool for the users to call, when
nothing ever happens on the BBS, and its not cool for the SysOps to change anything on
the BBS, when nobody calls it. Its almost like a evil circle, who's to blame? Internet? Im
not sure, but i can with my hand on my heart, say that most of my BBS/DOS interesess fell
away when i got my cabelmodem, its like a new world appeared, unknowledged and innocent...
Im not blaming it all on the Internet, but alot. An interest which got low, when you
already have explored everything...
Why?
5 words: girlfriend, lowered interes, social life.
Im not the only one behind the BBS, throughout these years, it were alot of people who
"without beeing forced", just like I, helped out to build up the BBS. I would thank
"evilmaster" for a damn good coding job on the many doors who excisted on the BBS,
those doors really liftet up the BBS. I would also like to thank my cosysops, who helped
out here and there, everyone who used time to upload files to the BBS and everyone who,
plain and simple, called it more than once. Im soon going to put up a ZIP-file with my
whole BBS in it, for those who are interested, but first im going to clean up the userlist,
ofcourse, top secret info you know. But bug me, so i will get it done, someday...

OK, idag denna vackra dag, en kall sen-sommar kväll den 19 September 2000 tryckte jag på den
stora röda knappen för BBS-datorn - VOD-BBS är död. Både ni users och jag har ju märkt ett
svalnande intresse för BBS:en, de ju inte kul för users att ringa när det aldrig händer något
på BBS:en, och de ju aldrig kul för SysOpen att ändra nått på basen när ingen ringer - det
blir lixom som en ond cirkel, vem ska man skylla på? Internet? Inte vet jag, men jag kan med
handen på hjärtat säga att när jag fick mitt kabelmodem så drogs många av mina BBS/DOS
intressen bort, det öppnades lixom en ny värld, oupptäckt och oskuld...
Jag skyller inte allt på Internet, men mycket. Ett intresse som minskade när man redan
upptäckt allt...
Varför?
5 ord: flickvän, svalande intresse, socialt liv.
Det var inte bara jag som stod bakom BBS:en i alla dessa år, det var mycket folk som helt
frivilligt precis som jag hjälpte till att bygga upp basen, jag vill bl.a tacka "evilmaster"
för ett jävligt schysst kådar-jobb på många av de doors som fanns där, de dörrarna lyfte
verkligen upp BBS:en, jag vill även tacka mina cosysopar som hjälpte till lite smått här
och där, alla som spenderade tid att uploada filer till BBS:en och alla som helt enkelt
ringde den mer än 1 gång. Jag ska jätte-snart lägga upp en jätte ZIP-fil med hela min bas
för er som är intresserade, men jag tänkte först ränsa userlistan o så förstås,
sekretesslaggt info vett ni. Men tjata på mig så jag gör det oxå nångång...
